Italian premiere of Hyland Peace Mass at the Pantheon
On June 21 2023, in the extraordinary setting of the Pantheon, the Cardinal Domenico Bartolucci Foundation, in collaboration with the Albanian Diaspora Business Network, promoted a Concert for Peace: the first performance in Italy of the Hyland Peace Mass for soloists, choir, organ and orchestra by Joseph Vella, a Maltese composer who died recently, and commissioned by New York entrepreneur Christopher Hyland.
The Orchestra Sinfonica Romana, the International Opera Choir, prepared by Giovanni Mirabile, and the organist Roberto Marini participated. The soloists were Adelina Paloja and Maria Tomassi (sopranos), Maria Ratkova (alto), Klodjan Kaçani (tenor), Paolo Ciavarelli (baritone) and Federico Benetti (bass).
